Job description
Robert Half Finance and Accounting is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join this rapidly growing UK IT - Service provider recently relocated to Basingstoke. My client is a well established company, which has enjoyed fantastic growth and have doubled in size over the last three years t/o circa £50 million. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the company meets reporting deadlines, local statutory filings, and compliance. It will involve working closely both with local management and also with the Corporate Finance Group in Europe. The person hired will also play a key part in acquisition due diligence and integration and set up of legal entity reporting in any new geographies. The role will report to the FD and be based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Managing a team of 4-5 staff located in Basingstoke the responsibilities are: ensuring monthly reporting deadlines are both timely and accurate; ensuring all local statutory accounts & tax returns are filed on time; ensuring all internal/external audits are on time and without material restatements; ensuring all processes are efficient, compliant and are communicated via intranet; ensuring all employee payroll and expenses are processed timely and accurately; ensuring all employee commission and bonus statements are prepared quarterly and are accurately communicated and reported in monthly financials; managing the Professional Services Billing Cycle. The Financial Controller will be a qualified Accountant with a practice background. You'll have moved into industry with post qualified experience. You'll have experience of working within the Software/ IT industry and will have strong UK GAAP & IFRS. Excellent communication skills are a must.
