Job description

This £6 million t/o Manufacturing company is looking for a Financial Controller to head up the Finance department & manage three staff. You’ll be qualified/part-qualified CIMA or ACCA & will be tasked with ensuring compliance with the statutory legislative environment in all respects, including reporting to & liaison where necessary with HM revenue & customs, Auditors, HR advisors, supporting the Chief Executive & the Chairman in the development & amendment of overall financial strategy, budgeting & other financial initiatives. Key responsibilities include producing year end financial statements, managing the payroll, developing & monitoring financial control systems. You’ll be a strong people-Manager to develop & train the Accounting team & help revamp & improve procedures where necessary. Excellent communication skills are must, as you'll also be providing practical assistance to Senior Managers to improve & develop their ability to manage their income & expenditure budgets & performance. Additional aspects of the role include overseeing the management of the IT infrastructure in liaison with the external support providers as well as managing the administration of HR processes throughout the business in conjunction with the HR advisors & line Managers. You should have MS Excel skills to advanced level & ideally have used Sage 200 or a CRM/manufacturing system. This is a permanent role paying between £45,000 & £50,000 depending on experience & qualification level plus bonus.
