Job description
A highly reputable Financial Services organisation, is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join this newly formed team required to provide financial competencies to a business unit. You will have detailed understanding of specific complex financial subjects such as balance sheet, income, costs and provisions. You will be required to get involved with financial accounts & business performance, also dealing with ad hoc services and complex queries and analysis. You should have good experience & knowledge of consolidation systems (SAP) & will be responsible for: correcting errors and providing input to projects & analysing change request & providing analysis for this across the business/unit; taking ownership of the business unit for a financial control perspective; review of the consolidated and product P&Ls, balance sheet and cost base reviews; review of accruals and prepayments; stakeholder relationship management; Sarbanes-Oxley compliance; account ownership & reconciliation responsibility; managing & driving ad hoc technical queries & issue; thorough & up-to-date understanding of financial accountancy, understanding of the market & the latest thinking and developments within finance. You must be either ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or studying towards your professional qualification or equivalent. You must have substantial relevant experience within a technical financial environment.
