Job description
A successful Engineering company based in Manchester is looking for CIMA or ACCA qualified Accountant with import/export experience - please highlight this on your application. This role is ideal for ambitious candidate who has moved from a credit control position into accountancy and is looking to take their career to the next level following qualification. The Financial Controller will be responsible for: full monthly and year end management accounts production; improving aged debt, taking proceedings legal and using knowledge of contractual debt and letters of credit; liaising with Operation Managers and budget holders to help guide strategic decision-making. Ideally you will have/be: CIMA/ACCA fully qualified Accountant with post qualified experience; experience of working a company that imports and exports goods (essential); a credit control background, used to taking it beyond telephone calls including legal proceedings, letters of credit etc (essential).
