Job description
An excellent opportunity for a candidate with financial control level experience gained in an SME environment. Duties: prepare timely monthly management accounts with variance analysis to budget; maintain and improve relevant internal systems to ensure useful management information and reports; management of cash to ensure funds available when needed and try to obtain best options available for surplus funds to maximise return; bank reconciliations; VAT returns; monthly journals accruals, prepayments and depreciation; introduction and operation of financial procedures and improved accounts documentation; improve financial control systems and proactive reduction of costs; prepare interim and annual financial reports and statutory statements; organise annual audit with Accountants. Requirements: qualified Accountant; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills; very sound technical accounting base; ensure deliverables to very high qualitative standards and against concurrent deadlines.
