Job description
Macildowie is working with a recognised Hotel in Derby to find a progressive Financial Controller for a cluster of entities across the West Midlands, although the position is based in Derby with no travel involved in the duties. Responsibilities include: preparation of the monthly management accounts including Accruals and prepayments and preparation of the profit and loss and balance sheets for the separate hotels; running all aspects of the accounts department and managing a team consisting of an Accounts Assistant, Credit Controller, Accounts Apprentice & Payroll Clerk; quarterly VAT returns; cash flow management; preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for funders on all financial aspects of the group; liaising with Auditors at year end; working on ad hoc projects including future acquisitions and applications for future funding. If you feel this is the opportunity for you and you have a strong leisure/hotel background this could be the position for you. Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience my client is flexible on candidate background and future ambition. The firm is growing and there will be acquisitions on the horizon, therefore it is important for the successful individual to be discreet, diligent and flexible.
