Job description
Hays Senior Finance is looking for a Financial Controller for a rare and exceptional opportunity which has arisen in South Yorkshire. This position is within an exciting global organisation who is leaders in its field. The purpose of this role will be to provide financial support, advice and governance, work within the Management team and ensure that all financial processes and systems support this fast moving business, enabling it to meet its business plan. You will have input to the preparation of strategic plans, including assisting in making informed decisions relating to targeted organic and acquisitive growth. Duties will include: acting as primary point of contact for all financial matters; exercising appropriate governance to safeguard the company’s financial position; monitoring results against forecasts and budgets including reviews with management; management of finance staff on site and the shared finance function; providing management information to the Managing Director and Management team; analysing, interpreting and communicating data; identifying risks and opportunities. There will be long-term opportunities to move towards an MD role. In order to be considered for this position: you will have an unrivalled track record within financial management; you will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA); you will have thorough and up-to-date knowledge of financial and management; accounting practices and experience of practical application of this in a complex business environment; you will have good knowledge of accounting and computer systems including International GAAP; you must have experience of mergers and acquisitions.
