Job description

Hewitson Walker is looking for a new Financial Controller for a high growth business that has shown impressive year on year growth, with ambitious plans to double again within 3 years. Key accountabilities: to report to FDMI for UK subsidiaries, Group Consolidation and Group accounts; commercial support to FD & Management team; production of monthly management accounts; to provide forecast outturn for 2011/12 including forecast income, balance sheet & cash flows; to manage UK & Group cash resources; to implement processes/systems to support cash flow forecasts, cash collections & debtor activity; to develop/maintain monthly balance sheet; to agree/deliver compliance reporting - payroll, corporate & other taxes, client schedules audit/tax purposes; to coach & develop the team. Person specification: qualified Accountants (ACA/ACCA/CIMA); knowledge of the group accounts including foreign currency; highly systems literate with strong Excel skills; hands-on, inquisitive, initiative, drive, commonsense and strong communication skills; ability to progress towards Finance Director role in the future; proactive, organised & accurate; able to multi-task and prioritise activity; able to critically evaluate business situations/develop new ideas.
