Job description
This organisation, with an international reputation for excellence, is seeking to recruit a commercial Financial Controller. The role: the Financial Controller is an operational leadership role and takes the lead on financial matters within the Finance Management team; the Financial Controller’s department is required to produce robust financial reporting to strict deadlines, including the month end close and project cost-reporting; the Financial Controller will require a confident technical knowledge to challenge existing methods, happy to be judges by KPIs; commitment to running a smooth efficient process will determine success in the role; good project management skills and IT systems awareness will be important attributes. The areas the Financial Controller will be responsible for are: financial reporting; treasury Management; control of fixed assets; statutory reporting, company secretarial and compliance; team management and development. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with relevant post qualified experience; a track record in building, developing and leading a high performance customer focused team; a background in embedding performance measurement techniques; able to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the business.
