Job description
My client is an entrepreneurial SME based in Bolton seeking to appoint a driven and ambitious qualified Accountant as FC. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking candidate work directly for an outstanding MD with a fast track rout to FD. Taking full responsibility for all elements of the Finance function of two separate entities including, but not limited to: preparation of monthly management accounts; preparation of other MI reporting including 13 week cash flow forecast, sales analysis, financials for inclusion in board pack; preparation of annual budgets and forecasts; ad hoc financial analysis; management of creditors’ ledger and supplier relationships; training and development of part-time Accounts Assistant; management of statutory audit process; overseeing the outsourced monthly payroll process; first point of contact for all internal and external finance related issues; company secretarial duties. Candidates must be fully qualified with strong Excel skills and an outgoing personality who can relate to and build strong relationships with non-finance colleagues. My client is looking for a candidate who can start relatively quickly and hit the ground running in this position. This could be an ideal move into industry for an ACA or a first managerial position for a CIMA candidate. This is an outstanding opportunity to take on a substantial role with far more wide ranging responsibility than one would normally expect at this stage of a career.
