Job description

The role: this senior finance role will have responsibility for one of 5 businesses within a group and requires an experienced, qualified Accountant with strong supervisory skills, previous client facing experience and a good controls background. Working from a regional head office, you will oversee the production of the monthly management accounts, monthly reports and will liaise with colleagues regarding the production of the annual stat accounts. You will liaise with other Finance teams to review operational costs charged/forecast to their business and to explain all expense variances and will support the business in the preparation of business cases for new contracts. The person: as a qualified Accountant, you are likely to have experience within a large complex business which would stand you in good stead in this role - an Insurance company background would be ideal. You should have a strong management accounts background and be able to demonstrate good budgeting, forecasting and business planning skills. Supervisory skills will be well used as you will have four direct reports and will be heavily involved in group finance activities.
