Job description
Our client is a FTSE 100 multinational with sales of over £9 billion and employing over 80,000 people. The business is now looking to recruit a Financial Controller. Reporting to the FD of one of the divisions you will be responsible for: ensuring the business operates in a strong control environment and complies with relevant legislation; leading the Finance Accounting team to deliver and develop them to add more value to the business; ensuring compliance with Tax and Treasury guidelines; working closely with Functional Heads to reduce overheads and working capital. The successful candidate will be a qualified and technically strong Accountant with significant practical experience of managing change and improvements in key activities within an Accounting team. You will have experience of leading, managing and developing a team, coupled with strong Excel skills. Most importantly, you will have the credibility, gravitas and judgement skills to interact effectively at the highest level across the business and the desire to develop a career in a forward-thinking and acquisitive, multinational organisation.
