Job description
Job description: an SME in Warwickshire requires a Financial Controller to cover maternity leave. Roles/responsibilities: responsible for the Finance and Payroll function you will be the No.1 Accountant in this SME. Duties will include, but not be limited to: cash flow, P&L and balance sheet; completion of monthly, quarterly and year end audit and statutory financial accounts; overseeing VAT returns; variance analysis; oversee Payroll function; development of all reports (6); set and achieve financial targets in consultation with the board. Skills/experience: ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent Excel spreadsheet skills; approachable (hands-on) and able to develop staff. Education/qualifications: CIMA qualified or equivalent. Personal attributes: you will be professional at all times, able to work in a pressured environment. You will be neat, methodical and have a can-do attitude.
