Job description
A leading small to medium sized Hi-tech Manufacturing business based in Surrey is looking to recruit a Financial Controller. Reporting to the FD and MD of the business key responsibilities will include: general accounting duties commonly undertaken by a Financial Controller; coordination and supervision of all book-keeping activities undertaken by accounts staff including bought, sales and nominal ledger records; dealing with VAT and similar returns; preparation of monthly management accounts for review; maintenance and reconciliation of control accounts; reconciliation of stock and WIP valuations, reports, etc; one-off projects agreed with the FD; any other accounting services agreed by the Finance Director or Company Secretary. Suitable applicants will ideally hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or overseas equivalent, but not essential. A good working knowledge of MS Excel is essential, whilst experience of Crystal Reporting would be advantageous.
