Job description
Reporting to the UK FD your role will be operationally focused and geared around implementing process improvements to increase profitability. As well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance function you will spend the majority of your time working closely with the Operations Director in identifying potential cost savings within production. You will then roll out these changes ensuring a smooth and timely delivery. With established operations across the globe, the Leeds site makes up a significant part of overall production and so requires a forward-thinking, site based Financial Controller to maintain a competitive edge. We're looking for someone who has already had a taste of process improvement based roles within manufacturing and wishes to move onto a similar ongoing project. You will be a strong and direct communicator motivated by driving change and adding value to a business. The ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent with a proven track record in leading this kind of venture. Candidates who are currently performing a similar FC role who wish to ultimately progress to FD will find this position a vital stepping stone. My client is a multinational Manufacturing Business part of a multibillion-pound group of companies. Involved in a number of competitive world markets this business has maintained its market leading position throughout the downturn and forecasts modest growth over the coming year and offers £50,000 - £60,000 plus bonus plus benefits package. Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
