Job description

Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical business with a high profile across the international sphere; a strong reputation and fascinating career environment prevail. The business is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to cover some project work resulting from maternity leave. This role is ongoing and you will be expected to hit the ground running. The successful candidate will be responsible for: managing all areas of financial and statutory reporting - the business invariably has a range of projects ongoing at any one time and it is likely that you will be asked to get involved in ad hoc areas that are outside of your initial remit; managing a small but experienced team is also part of the day-to-day duties; keeping up-to-date with technical standards, subsequently advising the Executive team and Senior Management on their impact. The successful candidate will have been responsible for statutory reporting and completed statutory reporting cycles recently; your technical skill-set must be up-to-date and you must possess direct experience of processing financial reports as opposed to an overseeing capacity. You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant having qualified with one of the Big 4 firms. Experience in industry is important to the role, although sector is not imperative.
