Job description

We have an opportunity for a qualified Finance Manager/Controller to join a UK boutique organisation’s London head office. Located in recently refurbished Grade A City offices within easy walking distance of both overland train and tube stations, this newly created role is a result of aggressive growth in a specialised market due to the company’s unique approach to service to their clients. Their service-orientated ethos has meant the company has seen business increase, where their competitors have not. In a vital role to the business that will evolve over time, reporting directly to the Partners, you will have sole responsibility for the Finance function including: preparation of the accounts to trial balance; group accounting; payroll for 20 staff, P11d’s, P45’s; purchase and sales ledgers; VAT returns; management accounts, budgets, forecasting; work in progress experience would be a benefit but is not essential. You will be able to join the business and hit the ground running, and enjoy the challenges and rewards of full control of the Finance department. To apply you must hold an accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA, have strong UK GAAP, demonstrate experience in producing accounts to trial balance and be able to take on all tasks as mentioned above with ease. Experience of consolidations is essential. You will be looking to work for a company that grows as you do, be confident and comfortable in a sole role, able to work on your own initiative, to deadlines and under pressure in a position that is crucial to the business.
