Job description
A top-tier global Financial Services brand seeks to attract an exceptional Financial Controller to join a rapidly expanding division within this environment. Working directly with the divisional CFO the role will entail a mixture of traditional Financial Control and process improvement as well as more commercial tasks. The basis of the role will be to maintain a robust, ‘no surprises’ control function. The role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all financial statements, the integrity of data going out to Investment Managers and other ad hoc requirements. The remit of this position also includes the enhancement of the existing processes, streamlining the year end accounting process and enhancing the production of quarterly results. In addition to the controls element, the role will also be responsible for some more commercial elements, decision support and business performance management and analysis. The successful candidate will come from a strong academic background and hold a recognised accountancy qualification (there is a clear preference towards Chartered Accountants). Experience of financial control within a PLC environment is also essential. Beyond these attributes the applicant should be a good communicator and comfortable working directly with senior management. Experience of working with Investment Managers would prove greatly advantageous.
