Job description
Based in Central London, our client seeks a qualified Accountant to join them as a Financial Controller. Working for a high profile Media company, this role is ideally suited to someone with similar industry experience. Working for wholly owned subsidiary of a NASDAQ listed company, this organisation is engaged in the ownership, development and commercial utilisation of entertainment content. This role will be supervising a team of 9 staff (4 qualified), but will require someone who has worked in an SME environment and is happy to get involved with all aspects of the day-to-day accounting. The ideal candidate will also have strong multi-currency/hedging experience as the company is currently changing its functional currency from GBP to $US. Sarbanes-Oxley exposure would be a real advantage for this role. Starting in the next few weeks, this role is an exciting interim opportunity until the end of 2010. Managing an exciting transition period. Key skills: qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA; Financial Controller experience; treasury/foreign currency/hedging experience.
