Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a global Business and Technology Service company based across various locations in the South East. As Financial Controller, you will report to and work closely with the Head of Project Accounting, and will have the responsibility and authority to drive key contracts forward: financially, commercially and operationally; you will be accountable for developing strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, advising on potential improvements to the financial results and forecasts, as well as providing financial governance, assisting in driving costs down, financial integrity and ensuring best practice financial controls are in place; you will also be responsible for producing monthly reports for the UK board, presenting finances at monthly project reviews and ensuring robust, timely and accurate forecasts are produced. You will have experience of accounting for long-term contracts and service contracts, whilst also demonstrating commercial acumen and the ability to minimise risks - via managing the working capital, tracking WIP and advising on potential exposures. The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with outstanding communication, influencing and relationship building skills, including experience of dealing with offshore teams.
