Job description
A growing, FMCG business in Richmond is looking for a Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, motivated individual. Working in a fast-paced industry, you will be managing a team of four and reporting to the FD. The business is part of a huge American corporate and a well known brand. Responsibilities: producing monthly, quarterly and year end accounts; completing standard monthly financial reporting in accordance with internal management requirements, local and US GAAP accounting standards; collating information from other countries to provide a comprehensive position and report to the business and the parent company; completing the consolidation and valuation of monthly demand forecasts; completing the year end financial reporting and demonstrating full audit compliance; cash management; monitoring and controlling all duty payments for the import and export of product; setting of payment and settlement terms for all customers and suppliers; managing debtors and creditors within agreed terms; managing and reporting on licensing, royalties and third party payments to ensure that fees are paid in line with agreements and legal obligations; reporting on increasing recycling costs pertinent to specific countries; manage team of 4 Set annual objectives for performance review purposes; maintain internal controls; determining controls and authority levels for expenditure (including approval levels for foreign currencies); establishing guidelines and reviewing compliance; deputise for Finance Director. Skills required: qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA; experience as a FC; ideally PQE experience; worked in an international business previously; previous FMCG, retail or manufacturing experience.
