Job description
An excellent opportunity within a well-known multinational FMCG business has arisen for a Financial Controller. This role will lead the Financial Controlling department with strong links to Business Planning and Corporate functions. Role outline: build and share an ambitious vision for the Financial Controlling department, in line with the Finance vision; lead a team of 6 people (accounts payables, customer ledger, tax, statutory accounts and treasury) and ensure empowerment and people growth; drive the free cash flow committee: identify cash levers and animate action plans within the business; work with Internal Control Manager to ensure excellence in controls and procedures; ensure with IS organisation that applications and infrastructure are aligned with business requirements; ensure all local and group reporting is completed accurately and within the agreed time frame; manage the relationship with the Auditors; manage the foreign exchange exposure of the company through the hedging process in place; ensure all UK tax requirements are complied with (including VAT, corporation tax); contribute and actively participate in any appropriate strategic plan activities. Applicants must be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with extremely strong communication skills and have a passion and desire to work within a fast-paced environment.
