Job description

Based in Manchester, my client seeks a qualified Accountant to join them as a Financial Controller. This job would suit an individual who is professionally qualified with previous experience. My client is a rapidly growing and large business to business service, they take a high quality and passionate approach to their activities which they execute to the highest level. An innovative, dynamic and fast paced business with a friendly, high calibre and supportive team in Manchester. Key balance sheet reconciliation and control. Assist the FD in producing monthly and quarterly management and statutory financial accounts. Challenge existing processes and work flow. Implement and monitor internal controls. Short and long-term cash flow forecasting including liaising closely with credit control department. Ensure that all statutory and legal industry requirements are met e.g. VAT, IATA, ATOL. Liaise with back office development to help with roll out of new enhancements. Execute and follow up on recommendations made by both Internal and External Auditors. Monitor and produce key KPI statistics. To be considered for this position you must be a professionally qualified Accountant as well as possessing: experience of project management and implementation of new systems and processes. Experience of bulk transactional processing and have the ability to identify, implement and improve bulk reconciliations. Advanced Excel skills, experience of Peoplesoft preferred.
