Job description
A high calibre finance professional is required for a Divisional Financial Controller position within an FTSE 100 organisation. This is a division with a turnover in excess £1bn. The Divisional Financial Controller will be responsible for providing stakeholders with financial insight, financial control and regulatory compliance requiring a person with outstanding accounting technical knowledge to deliver on these responsibilities. Leading a team of 6 Finance Managers and Accountants the Divisional Financial Controller will be responsible for financial accounting and control over an end to end process, leading process improvement across month end close, providing financial reporting and insight linking operational and financial performance and profit drivers, driving step change in the quality of divisional Exec, Board and Segmental reporting, regulatory compliance and HMRC regulatory and reporting compliance - VAT and IPT requirements. The Divisional Financial Controller will hold a recognised accounting qualification with a significant PQE, possess experience of working in a financial reporting environment in large blue chip organisations and demonstrate a strong understanding of financial concepts, have a proven track record of influencing and communicating up to Senior Manager level, multiple stakeholder management and be results driven whilst working under pressure to tight timescales and maintaining close attention to detail.
