Job description
Our client, an established SME in the Pharmaceutical sector, has an established customer base and a strong record of consumer and corporate performance. Having delivered strong results, the business is seeking a qualified Financial Controller to take ownership of the Financial and Management accounting procedures and provide business support to the Board of Directors. Reporting to the FD, responsibilities include: preparation of monthly management accounts for the group’s various divisions, including full Board commentary; managing the month end process, ensuring all information is collated for required monthly, quarterly and annual reporting; responsibility for management of the ERP system; acting as a key point of contact during the external audit process; leading a team of 3 direct reports in the management of all journals and transactional financial reporting; taking a hands-on role in the management of purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control; supporting the FD in the production of business-critical financial information. This is a hands-on role with full responsibility for the Finance function below Director Level and requires an individual with the capacity to both lead and take a hands-on approach to the production of financial and management accounts in a commercial environment. Full accountancy qualifications, a proactive approach and a value-add mentality will be vital attributes for the successful candidate.
