Job description
ABPM is assisting our client: a niche-based service provider, based within the North Yorkshire area. Their sector is experiencing a key period of change and development, and the last couple of years have seen the business grow amidst a challenging environment. The business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller, to head up a team of 6 within their head office. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will assume responsibility for the preparation of statutory and financial accounts, VAT return, and full balance sheet reconciliation. You will also be tasked with leading and developing the team beneath you, and looking at means and ways to increase efficiency and overall productivity within the department. The role does have scope for further development, with the business looking at potentially implementing a new system, so experience in this area would be advantageous. The successful candidate will possess first-rate technical capabilities, with an extensive track record of preparing financial accounting information within a medium-large organisation. Your people management skills will be of a high standard, as will your overall communication and systems capabilities.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
This position is being advertised by an employment business in the case of temporary positions and an employment agency in the case of permanent positions.
