Job description
This significant and successful group, based in North Yorkshire, has a new requirement for a Financial Controller to take full financial responsibility for a number of key business units. You will need to maintain effective financial control over the units for which you are responsible. This will involve providing accurate and timely reporting to both them and the group for budgets, monthly cash and profit forecasts, monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts. As an influential member of the Senior Management team you will use your business experience to add value and strategic direction to decisions made by the business units. This is a significant opportunity and success in this role will equip the job holder to consider progression to full independent Finance Director positions or more substantial Controller roles. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong and clear progression towards this type of opportunity and will you have experience in contributing to the commercial performance of a business. You must work with integrity, continually question the way the business operates, work closely with the wider business and communicate effectively/influence Senior Managers and departmental staff. The role offers a strong base salary with a comprehensive flexible benefits package & plenty of opportunity for career progression.
