Job description

Our client, a true leader in logistics and transport, is looking for an exceptional Financial Controller. Their annual turnover of £300m alone indicates the scale of the company and the potential that it could offer to the ideal candidate. Due to exponential growth our client is looking to recruit a high calibre finance professional to add to their Finance team, you'll be managing a team of 12 people within their UK Finance department & reporting directly to the European FD. We are currently looking for individuals with a Senior Financial Controller/Finance Manager, background within the Logistics & Transport sector; although those that can demonstrate a strong track record outside of these sectors will also be considered. You will be confident and credible & possess excellent interpersonal skills along with demonstrable ability to thrive in fast moving, challenging organisation. Main accountabilities include but aren't limited to: the maintenance of central financial accounting records & controls to support weekly & monthly management reporting; preparation of statutory accounts; the preparation of consolidated P&L, balance sheet & cash flow results; treasury management; consolidation of budgets & forecasts; preparation of budgets and forecasts for central functions, covering management accounts, financial and statutory accounts, corporation Tax, VAT.
