Job description
The client: an organisation with an international reputation for excellence. This is an operational Financial Leadership role; providing guidance and support; ensuring the day-to-day Managers and supervisors are able to solve problems on their own initiative. The department produces robust financial reporting to strict deadlines, including month-end close and project cost-reporting. The Financial Controller will harmonise and drive efficiency into the systems and processes on a sustained basis. This will require a confident technical knowledge to challenge existing methods, happy to be judges by KPIs. Commitment to running a smooth efficient process will determine success in the role. Good project management skills and IT systems awareness will be important attributes. Candidates must be qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA; having a track record in building, developing and leading a high performance customer focused team; significant experience in running a transactional Financial Service and in embedding performance measurement techniques eg KPIs, benchmarking, SLA’s; able to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the business.
