Job description
Our client, a manufacturing group with a leading position in their market, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to support procurement. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for supporting a range of procurement projects from negotiation to contract approval and reporting. Key responsibilities include: working closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure favourable commercial terms and effective cost management; managing the contract approval process from a commercial and legal perspective; delivering accurate and timely reporting across a range of complex procurement activities; leading and developing a large team to deliver insightful commercial analysis and decision support. To apply, you must be a qualified accountant with experience of contract negotiation and business partnering. You will have worked for a medium to large company and will be comfortable advising and challenging non finance managers at all levels. Your communication and organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple priorities internally and with external customers. You must have a high degree of commercial acumen.
