Job description
A leading Financial Services organisation based in Cheshire is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join its business to cover a nine month maternity leave. The ideal candidate will be a financially strong and commercially savvy Accountant. The successful candidate must have previous experience of working in industry and preferably hold a recognised accounting qualification. Excellent reporting skills and the ability to meet deadlines are of paramount importance as is the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and a high degree of IT literacy. The role will involve close liaison with Auditors, Directors and Managers and will require a candidate able to work proactively and without supervision. You will be responsible for: preparation of monthly management accounts and report for management board; preparation of annual budgets and regular forecast updates. Strong analytical and investigative skills are essential. Ideally the successful candidate will be qualified but a qualified by experience or part-qualified Accountant with the relevant background and experience will also be considered.
