Job description

The opportunity has arisen to work for a circa£30m, specialist local organisation as its Financial Controller. Reporting to FD, you will have a varied role being responsible for managing the Finance team, producing management accounts as well as completing the annual statutory accounts. Whilst this is an established role, the organisation is seeking an individual committed to continuous improvement and you will become involved in/undertake relevant projects. As this is a vital role within the organisation, you will be on hand to provide accurate flash reports in changing financial circumstances and present financial information when the FD is absent. In addition to the ability to develop your skills into Senior Management, my client offers a competitive pension scheme and holiday entitlement. You will be a fully qualified Accountant or passed final exams; you will ideally have a degree at 2:1 or equivalent; you will have strong management accounting experience and be familiar with statutory accounting; staff management experience is desirable, not essential; excellent communication skills; both written and oral are essential.
