Job description

A global Construction Group has an immediate requirement for an interim Financial Controller to set up a new company in Argentina as part of its delivery of a major new infrastructure project, reporting to the Divisional FD, in the UK, the Financial Controller will: establish the new trading entity in Argentina, including tax registrations and bank accounts; establish an office in Buenos Aires; implement financial systems; set up outsourced provider relationships, which could include payroll providers, tax services and accounting services. The Financial Controller will also: establish a Finance team as required for the project; work with the Joint Venture Partner; work with the Project team to provide financial support; and establish reporting to the UK. Other responsibilities for the Financial Controller include: liaison with other project offices in South America and with the UK. Suitable applicants will: speak Spanish; have a proven track record at a managerial/executive level; have experience of setting up/implementing new systems; be comfortable dealing with legal and tax issues as well as professional advisers; and have previously worked within construction or related industries including oil and gas or mining.
