Job description
Swindon Silicon Systems Ltd is a leading and growing specialist in the field of mixed signal ASIC design and supply. The company supplies Bespoke ASICs into the automotive, industrial and telecomms industry and delivers in excess of 40m ASICs per year with a turnover in excess of £20m. Swindon Silicon Systems is part of the Tomkins Group Ltd. We are looking for an aspiring and self-motivated Financial Controller reporting to our Managing Director. You will develop and manage a small Finance team that will meet business needs. This is a role that will be focused on ensuring robust and responsive financial management as our company grows. You will manage the preparation of the monthly management accounts for submission to our parent company, and will be responsible for statutory returns and the preparation of annual accounts. In addition, as a key member of the local management team you will be proactive in the ongoing focus on growth and profitability through support for business development and cost control. The successful candidate will be looking for a developmental step in their career at a company where they will be recognised for their ambition and ability. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Applicants must be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and accounting qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post qualified experience in an industrial environment ideally that of a hi-tech manufacturing organisation.
