Job description

Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently recruiting a Financial Controller on behalf of a sporting organisation based in South West London. The role has arisen due to the appointment of a new Finance Director and a subsequent restructure within the department. The Financial Controller will report to the FD and take responsibility for managing the day-to-day running of the Finance department. The Transactions team consists of seven staff reporting directly to the Controller. The primary responsibilities of the Financial Controller are to ensure the timely and accurate filing of all external statutory reporting and tax compliance as well as the coordination of group accounting. This will include oversight of procurement, cash control and subsequent cash flow forecasting. The organisation generate revenue from a variety of sources some of which require additional external reporting to commercial regulatory bodies. Management reporting and forecasting falls within the remit of the Finance Manager but the size of the business ensures that there is plenty of scope for the Controller to assist in this area as well. Suitable applicants will be ACA qualified from practice with subsequent industry experience and supervisory responsibilities. Salary & benefits: £50,000 - £60,000 plus excellent benefits.
