Job description
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Financial Controller at a multi-site Distribution company. You will be responsible for providing a support to the UK Director in the monitoring and leadership of the financial aspects of UK operations including business planning, accounting and budgeting of the company. Duties include: monitor, advise and support on cash management, including banking relationships; working with the Commercial Manager, oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes; production of the information to enable financial management reporting for the company; develop regular reporting and analysis and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required by the UK Director; ensure financial management reporting processes are in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the business; develop a process for delivery of the annual business plan, UK group development plans and budgeting process. The business is particularly interested in candidates who are graduate calibre and ideally be a qualified Accountant. You will ideally be exposed to the use of SAP, project planning and strategic thinking, and be able to show proven results of business partnering with non-Finance Managers. Understanding of the complexities of a green field ‘start up’ multi site business will be essential. The ability to sympathetically, yet effectively, bring leadership and introduce financial solutions to the group will be essential.
