Job description
Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity backed, retail brand based in the West Midlands. This business now looks to hire a Financial Controller to oversee the Finance function and logistics operations, liaise with Investors and report directly to the board. As Financial Controller you will have the No. 1 role in finance and you will be responsible for the following: overseeing a small Finance team; the monthly production of management accounts and forecasts; preparing a monthly board pack for Directors; taking control of the online part of the business; accurate and timely reporting; cash flow management; ownership of stock control process; preparation of statutory accounts; supporting the board in devising strategies to promote future growth. You will be a commercially aware, qualified Accountant, who may already have exposure to the Retail/Wholesale sector or other branded businesses and you will have experienced first hand, the importance of cash in an SME. You will be genuinely excited by the idea of working in a rapidly growing business and will thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. You will have aspirations to reach FD level in the next stage of your career.
