Job description
My client based in Leeds is seeking a Financial Controller for its office based in Leeds. The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of financial and management information, ensuring adequate control procedures are in place to protect the assets of the business. The role also involves staff development within the Finance department, and ensuring that all statutory and Group requirements are adhered too. The post holder will work under the direction of the Regional Financial Controller and will provide an effective and efficient finance service. Responsibilities: work closely with the Management team to develop the current business processes and the accuracy of these processes; monitoring, validating and reconciling output information from the costing and financial systems; provide early warnings of financial deviation from Forecast both positive and negative to the Regional Financial Controller/Operational Management team; to develop and maintain Financial Information systems; to manage and organise the month end procedure and the preparation of monthly management accounts. The Individual: ACA/CIMA qualified; experience of Leading and developing a Finance team; experience of Working as part of a Management team; experience of supporting internal and external customers; experience of compilation, maintenance and control of computerised records.
