Job description

Based at Willand in mid-Devon, Lloyd Maunder is part of the 2 Sisters Food Group a privately owned company, with annual sales exceeding £600million, operating in UK, Holland and USA. A leading processor of poultry predominantly for private label retail sales, although also producing a number of branded products including Buxted and the Devonshire Red.

Plans are underway to invest and expand the Devon based operation and the group are looking to recruit a Financial Controller who along with the Senior Site Management team can drive the Site’s agenda to becoming a successful specialist poultry business unit.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting weekly accurate profit and loss estimates and monthly management accounts for their site in Willand.
  • Tasked with management of KPIs and a Finance team in order to assist Site Management teams and the Divisional Director in making strategic and commercial decisions.
  • Drive the forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Facilitate a strategy development process that will identify opportunities for profitable growth and monitor its implementation through the forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Analysis of intercompany reconciliations and preparation of budgets.
  • Deliver strong management accounting and ensure information is used to drive improvements in commercial and operational performance.
  • Liaison with Group and Procurement teams.

You will be a qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA, ACA with the ambition and desire to embrace this challenging and varied role.

  • It is likely that you will have worked within a similar environment and will currently be a Finance Manager would like to progress from their current role to become the number one Site Financial Manager in an exciting autonomous role.
  • You will be someone who can demonstrate the spark and enthusiasm that you need to take this business to the next level.
  • Have superb interpersonal skills and the commercial acumen to liaise with Senior members.
  • You will also be highly articulate and have the ability to develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • It would be advantageous if you have Navision systems experience although it is not essential.
