Job description

Leading the Credit Management section, a team of 28 and managing a range of stakeholder relationships including underwriting, operations and key clients is required. You will also ensure: counterparty default risk is managed effectively in compliance with the policy; that operations are efficient and effective; that financial control and governance is maintained at all times, processes, risks and controls are documented, validated and reviewed; take ownership of the relevant general ledger accounts ensuring monthly reconciliation and reviews are performed to identify potential errors; manage key risk accounts through regular engagement, compliance checks and audits; compliance with FSA is integral to the operation of area of responsibility. You will ideally be a qualified Accountant and come from an insurance environment and have proven strength in the areas of communication, technical and within an operational finance environment (ideally Credit Management). My client has a vision to become a leading manufacturer and retailer of insurance solutions to the personal lines and consumer market and through selected Commercial lines which offers an excellent salary and benefits including annual bonus. Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
