Job description

Financial Operations Team Leader

Eastlands Homes is a Housing Association formed in 2003 to take over and improve 2,800 of East Manchester’s former council homes.

Since then, we’ve successfully completed a £45 million improvement programme a year ahead of schedule, where we have spent an average of £16,000 on each of our customer’s homes.

We are looking for a driven, highly motivated individual with excellent Excel skills and the ability to communicate well with finance and non-financial personnel.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate strong managerial skills/managerial experience including the ability to conduct appraisals, on the job coaching, ensuring staff development and distributing of all staff workloads.

Other responsibilities for this role include:

  • Process and systems improvements enabling month end efficiencies.
  • Management and maintenance of financial records.
  • Monitor and meet deadlines and ensure ledgers are accurate.
  • Complete supplier statement and control account reconciliations.
  • Month end reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Management of the daybook, cashbook, and general ledger.
  • Assist in producing cash flow forecasts and other ad hoc reports.
  • Liaise with Internal/External Auditors, NFI, HMRC, other relevant external bodies.
  • Support in budgeting and forecasting where applicable.

The successful candidate will ideally be CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified.
