Job description
Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Prerequisite Experience:
- Experience working in a management accounting role in a reputable large local or international company.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cost control procedures.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of detailed monthly management reports, including commentary and full variance explanations.
- Work with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure all postings are accurate in the month.
- Lead the full review of all the balance sheet accounts.
- Assist the Management team in planning, forecasting and budgeting.
- Analysis of performance against budget and forecast by key contract, department and company.
- Analysis of project performance against budget and original pricing model.
- Work very closely with the Senior Management team to set measurable KPIs for the business.
- Research on industry standards, benchmarks and trends for performance measurement.
Additional Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Recommendations on improving reporting formats.
- Maintain the long-term cash flow forecasting model.
- Ad hoc reporting and project work as required by the Senior Management team.
- Ad hoc provision of financial and non-financial information to the CFO and Leadership team of Olive Group.
Essential Capabilities/Skills:
- A qualified Accountant with industry finance experience, including time spent in financial planning and analysis accounting roles.
- An experienced Financial Modeller with a high standard of numerical analytical skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organisation and at all levels.
- Imaginative problem solver with experience of process improvement.
- Strong people skills – team player comfortable dealing with colleagues from both the corporate office and the business units.
- Strong and proven background in analysis and management reporting, preferably with a multinational company.
- Experience of developing management reports but willing to undertake detailed work to develop the standards to be used in future.
- Experience in setting measurable KPIs for businesses.
- Experience working on ERP implementation.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, to meet deadlines, and request assistance when needed.
- Ability to deliver accurate and detailed reports.
- Ability to work well and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word are mandatory.
- Ability to confidently present and explain reports and business analysis to senior management.
- Good organisational skills and self motivator.
