Job description
An FP&A Analyst/Cost Accountant is needed to take on this high potential role. Duties: budgeting, planning & extensive analytical work; costings & month end reporting; liaison and communication with non-finance people; develop reporting mechanism to analyse financial performance & profitability; determine areas where profitability can be improved; review costs & pricing of products to ensure they are in line with transfer price rules; looking at end user revenues & their contribution to margins; review & develop SAP processes to make sure they are in line with business needs; identify areas of risk & losses and ensure costing & accounting are accurately done. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a blank canvas and work for a truly global organisation. It could also lead to future project work and it is an exciting time to join them. You will be a qualified or qualified by Experience Accountant. It would be helpful if you have had experience of working in cross functional, multi-entity teams & businesses. You need to be dynamic and you need to be able to cope with having various stakeholders to deal with so a strong stakeholder management piece is key. You must be highly customer focused, being able to understand the needs of internal customers and having a willingness to deliver on them. It is essential that you have SAP experience to a complex level as you need to be able to turn information on SAP into something meaningful. You have to be capable of working to tight deadlines and you should be a strong character with gravitas. It is preferable that you have a strong background in manufacturing, preferably fast moving manufacturing, as you will need to be able to understand how Bills of Materials work & be able to explain these in layman's terms to people. There will also be a requirement to work additional hours in busy periods and there will be occasional travel to another UK base.
