About the role
If you’re looking for a new challenge and a role in which you can make an impact, this is an excellent opportunity to join our innovative Business Analysis team and help Cancer Research UK to achieve its ambitious goals. You’ll be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to teams within our Fundraising and Marketing department, challenging and making recommendations to drive income and efficiencies across different fundraising activities. As well as this, you’ll work with the Fundraising teams to model the impact of new initiatives and help the organisation to understand the impact of commercial decisions. Your role will also include the monitoring of income, expenditure and KPIs on a monthly basis and leading on the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process for your areas.
About you
To join our team you’ll need to be a qualified Accountant with relevant & significant post qualified experience. You’ll have strong analytical skills, be able to interpret and make practical recommendations on commercial issues and possess the confidence and experience to gain agreement and put across alternative points of view to senior colleagues. You’ll need to have a strong customer services ethos as well as people management skills. You should be committed to accuracy whilst possessing the ability to think imaginatively and creatively.

Essential criteria:
- Must be a qualified Accountant with relevant post qualified experience, ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills including the ability to model, analyse and present complex data.
- A track record of adding value to income generating organisations and helping to drive cost efficiency.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels with financial and non-financial staff.
- Experience of managing budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting within a large, complex organisation.
- An appreciation of the Charity sector, and the challenges it faces, would be an advantage.
