The role will involve taking individual responsibility for controlling financial evaluation of operations, developing methods for portfolio management and balancing short-term profit against long-term strategy. The successful candidate will constantly re-evaluate operational decisions in partnership with stakeholders, ensuring that optimum resource utilisation is realised, coordinating performance reviews to address weaknesses and initiating any necessary immediate or long-term adjustments. The candidate will also have responsibility for evaluating investment and divestment decisions, while models must be developed to evaluate hypotheticals, using information to assess any proposed tactical actions. While reporting on profitability and information integrity and delivering appropriate commentary, the candidate will also contribute to the five year planning process. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with PQE, be a natural team player and have strong planning, technical and analytical skills. An ability to challenge senior figures in the business is essential. The successful candidate will almost certainly have FMCG experience.
