Job description
My client is an exciting newly formed division of a globally recognised brand. This newly created role will provide accurate and timely financial support for the Technology group within a business segment. A major emphasis will be placed on creating and maintaining financial models that support expenses and headcount planning, utilisation reporting and cost recharging. Other responsibilities for this position include actively supporting the monthly financial close processes, reporting of financial results, and streamlining processes by leveraging financial systems and other PC applications. Meet and work alongside Executives and Directors to review financial performance and follow-up on enquiries made regarding these financial statements. You would research key performance indicators and perform trend analysis, assist with the development of reporting packages to analyse technology productivity and efficiency as well as complete special projects as assigned by management. To be considered for this opportunity, you will be a qualified Accountant with PQE and a strong academic record financial experience, & relevant Financial Analyst experience from a medium/large organisation. Having experience in a large cost based environment, you would ideally have knowledge of software and/or a service based industry, revenue recognition rules and an appreciation of an IFRS environment is preferred - although this is in no way a technical role. Proficiency in Excel, Cognos, Bex reporting, SAP and PowerPoint would all be well received. You will have strong skills & experience influencing more senior colleagues from a finance and non-finance background, and be a naturally persuasive communicator. Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. Robert Half is committed to equal opportunity and diversity. Suitable candidates with equivalent qualifications and more or less experience can apply.
