Job description

This is a newly created role which would ideally suit a finance or IT graduate who is looking to develop a career in Business Systems or Financial Systems with a market leading organisation. The post holder will: provide a robust system of documenting change control, project and audit activities around the systems under the business systems responsibility and further assist the Business Systems team with day-to-day support activities and the delivery of ad hoc system projects as follows: create and maintain change control documentation; maintain configuration control documentation; create and maintain audit control documentation; create and maintain project control and audit documentation; maintain documentation for weekly and period end accounting process runs; run system processes for weekly accounting process runs; run and document monthly housekeeping process; production of daily reconciliation control sheets for purchase order and receipt data files interfaced into Oracle from source systems; production of weekly reconciliation control sheets for sales invoice data files interfaced into Oracle from the system; assist in the timely resolution of user queries; assist in the delivery of system projects; any other reasonable requirement which may arise in the course of the day-to-day departmental activities; undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by the Business Systems Manager or any senior member of the Management team. Applicants should: ideally hold a degree in Finance or IT; have a good standard of numeracy and literacy skills; have a desire to develop a skill-set in financial systems; possess good Systems and IT skills and preferably have had exposure to Oracle; have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines; have proven teamwork skills.
