Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Systems Manager to join this US Media and Services group in their London head office. This is a key role partnering with the Finance function and supporting the Group FC with overseeing the effective administration of the Group’s key systems including the group accounting package and the reporting and consolidation tool. In addition, the role should lead improvements, focusing on quality and more timely MI through the enhancement of processes and systems. The business: a large and successful US Media and Business Services group, listed in The States and operating their European Group from their West London head office. The company pride themselves on their high staff retention rates, the career paths they offer and the development opportunities in terms of education and training. The purpose of this position will be to take absolute ownership of the systems for the European Group and project manage improvements as necessary. Duties will include: manage the administration of MS Dynamics AX and Cognos TM1; manage one team member; oversee the effective close of financial systems at month and year end, monitoring key deliverables; design and development of financial reports for Finance team and wider audience; manage implementation and roll out of AX Upgrade project to agreed milestones; continual improvement of processes and IT. Required skills and experiences: accounting qualification; excellent IT skills (Excel & TM1); experience of reviewing and changing processes and reports Initiative and innovative ideas; positive attitude and aptitude for change.
