Job description

A Fund forecasting Accountant is needed for a leading Hedge Fund in London. The purpose of the role is to assist the Fund Reporting Manager compile the monthly funds under management reporting. You will also be required to produce the income reforecasting and sales analysis for reporting to the Group Board and MI Management Committee. This is an ideal role for any individual looking for a high profile position within a leading hedge fund. The Fund MI team produce the consolidated funds under management information which is used by Senior Management and External Analysts as a key indicator of the Group’s performance. This individual needs to be well organised and comfortable handling and manipulating large quantities of data. The primary responsibilities will include: assisting with the collation and preparation of funds-under-management for monthly reporting; preparation of information for inclusion in the Interim & Annual Reports to present to External Market Analysts’ assisting with the preparation of the FUM and sales information for the quarterly press releases and Funds Under Management estimates; preparation of monthly sales information for inclusion in the CEO report; preparation of monthly income reforecast; assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and 3 year plans. Requirements are: qualifications: qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent); good IT skills: Advanced Excel skills essential; Database experience or experience of using a relational database system also essential; knowledge/experience: experience working within a commercial environment.
