Job description
An international Software company based in East London is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its growing Finance function. Responsibilities include: preparation of accounts, submission of financial statements and reporting schedules for monthly, quarterly and annual corporate deadlines; preparation and maintenance of month end files, including the monthly balance sheet reconciliations; reconciliation and settling of intercompany accounts; compliance with all relevant corporate finance policies, accounting standards and Sarbanes-Oxley controls; dealing with queries from corporate and Business units; liaising across the business to resolve queries and reconciling items; undertake other ad hoc duties as required and additional tasks as the department develops. The successful candidate will have experience using Sun accounting system, have previously worked within a shared service centre and be studying towards professional qualifications.
